MedStar Union Memorial Hospital is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – Cardiovascular Services to join our leadership team!
The Assistant Director of Nursing is a member of MedStar Health’s entity-based Division of Nursing and leadership team. In this vital role, you’ll support and guide our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) and Cardiovascular Intermediate Care (CVIMC) teams—driving excellence in patient care while empowering nurses to grow and thrive.
As an ADON, you will direct and coordinate the nursing and patient care delivery of the unit-based professional and support personnel. This role will assume administrative and leadership authority/responsibility during a specific shift (e.g., evening or night) for the assigned unit/department, and foster associates' commitment to improving quality, safety, and cost-conscious patient care outcomes.
You will collaborate with the Director of Nursing to ensure adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards, as well as MedStar Health's policies and procedures. Demonstrates leadership and behaviors consistent with MedStar's mission, vision, goals, SPIRIT Values, patient care philosophy, and sound moral and ethical judgment.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from a nationally accredited program.
- Master's degree in Nursing or a health-related field preferred.
- 3-4 years progressive nursing care experience.
- CVICU, CCU, or CVICM experience strongly preferred

Salary : $100,588 - $180,419
