This position is PRN 1-3 days a week. During May 2025- September 2025 up to 40 hours a week(available and flexible). Saturday weekend rotation required, some holiday coverage as needed.
Primary Duties:
- Conducts assessments for patients to establish diet and food guidelines.
- Develop and implement an individualized plan for medical nutrition therapy in accordance with patients medical needs, goals and objectives.
- Assigned Critical Care Units and General Medicine Floors. Work closely with Food Service team to assure conformance to diet prescriptions.
- Assumes other duties and responsibilities that are appropriate to the position and area.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree M.S. degree in food and nutrition with approved training from the Academy of Nutrition Dietetics required if completed after January 1, 2024.
- 5-7 years Progressive clinical nutrition experience required OR 3-4 years Clinical nutrition experience along with CDCES - Certified Diabetes Educator Certification or CNSC - Certified Nutrition Support Dietitian/Clinician required.
- Licensed in District of Columbia required or eligible to apply for DC licensure required.
