The Pharmacy Liaison is responsible for assisting the Bedside Delivery Technician with all non-dispensing aspects of medication deliveries to discharge patients and MedStar employees.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Gathering Rx's and obtaining patient consent, coordination with bedside technicians, prescription delivery, and handling of payment transactions via mobile device.
- Assisting with the non-dispensing functions in the pharmacy including, answering the phone; gathering patient's information for the intake process for new and refill prescription request; handling the pickup area; and performing payment transactions, as well as maintaining the OTC area; delivering or picking up, mail to the mail room; and restocking pharmacy supplies.
- Acts as liaison with pharmacy operations to maintain high level of service to customers, following all service-related issues through to resolution.
- Works collaboratively with bedside technician to ensure productive workflow and reconcile patient's prescriptions approved for delivery.
