We are growing, and have a new opportunity for an experienced outpatient / community pharmacist to join our MedStar Pharmacy location at MedStar Harbor Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
Evaluates drugs prescribed by physicians for appropriateness of dose, therapeutic efficacy, allergy, drug interaction, and contraindications; processes prescriptions through insurance company and handles DUR rejects, pre-authorizations, etc.; performs final check on all prescriptions, ensuring accurate input, labeling, and dispensing; and, provides counseling and drug information to patients and physicians.
