Linen/Laundry Aide

Primary Duties:

·       Operates washer and drying equipment to process linens, curtains, slings, etc. in a safe and efficient manner.

·       Collects and transports all soiled linen from various departments to the dirty laundry area, using good body mechanics and safety practices.

·       Packages soiled linen for transport to linen processing vendor after documenting and filing departmental weights.

·       Stocks clean linen carts following established daily par levels for each department or area.

·       Communicates linen replacement and chemical supply needs to department supervisor.

·       Performs daily cleaning schedule in linen department in a safe and efficient manner.

·       Reports any complaints to linen supervisor.

·       Ensures stocked linen inventory is protected from soiling.

·       Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.

Qualifications:

·       Completion of the 10^th grade required.
