What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietary/Utility Aide - Full time position at medstar-stg?
Under the direct supervision of the Nutrition Services Supervisor and the Patient Services Manager, the Dietary Aide perform a variety of duties from serving food items to patients, associates, and guest, to dish room/sanitation duties. Dietary Aides are cross-trained to work every position on the tray line: i.e., starter, expo, checker, Hospitality Aide. Dietary Aide serves food to customers in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner, as well as clean up after serving hours. The Dietary Aide under the direct supervision of the Nutrition Services Supervisor maintains the sanitation standards in compliance as indicated in the cleaning
schedule/assignment in the serving area as well as all of the equipment and dining room tables. Some light food preparation such as cold salads, grill items, cold sandwiches, cutting pies and cakes, preparing desserts, etc., is required of this position.
