Director of Respiratory Therapy
We are seeking an experienced respiratory therapy leader to oversee respiratory services at a pediatric facility in Brooklyn. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical expertise, proven leadership skills, and a commitment to high-quality care for pediatric patients.

Salary: $120,000–$140,000 per year

Schedule: Full-time, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Responsibilities

Lead respiratory therapy services and oversee daily department operations.

Supervise, support, and develop respiratory therapy staff.

Assess patients’ respiratory status and oversee care plans and treatments.

Ensure appropriate delivery of therapies such as oxygen, aerosolized medications, airway clearance, and ventilatory support, as prescribed.

Oversee the use, maintenance, and readiness of respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen delivery systems.

Monitor patient responses to treatment and ensure changes in condition are communicated promptly to the care team.

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support compliance with applicable policies and standards.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinical leaders to coordinate respiratory care.

Support staff training, competency development, and infection prevention practices.

Review quality and safety indicators and identify opportunities to improve care and department performance.
Qualifications

Current Respiratory Therapist credential and any required state license.

Extensive respiratory therapy experience, including pediatric care.

Previous leadership or supervisory experience.

Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills.
