Job Title: Private Duty Nurse
New home care startup seeks Private Duty Nurses - all locations around greater Boston area are needed. Shifts will range between 2 and 12 hours. Experience preferred but not necessary.
What you’ll do
- Deliver exceptional nursing care, including medication administration, wound care, and IV infusion.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate services for patients with complex medical needs.
- Provide support for activities of daily living, ensuring comfort and dignity for each patient.
- Educate patients and families on health management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
- Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in patient conditions promptly.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Basic qualifications
- Current nursing license in good standing
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and patient care practices
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Preferred qualifications
- Background in critical care, geriatrics, or home health nursing
- Proficiency in performing procedures such as suturing, venipuncture, and catheterization
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs
