Duties
- Supervise daily ultrasound operations, ensuring high-quality imaging and adherence to safety protocols
- Perform comprehensive ultrasound examinations including prenatal, gynecological, breast, abdominal, vascular, and echocardiography procedures
- Operate advanced medical imaging equipment and picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) for accurate image capture and storage
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to interpret ultrasound findings and contribute to diagnostic accuracy
- Maintain detailed documentation within electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems while ensuring compliance with privacy standards
- Educate patients about procedures, addressing concerns with professionalism and empathy to enhance patient care experience
- Uphold aseptic techniques and infection control standards during all procedures to ensure patient safety
- Lead training sessions for new staff or students in sonography techniques and equipment operation
- Stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology and diagnostic protocols across obstetrics, gynecology, vascular technology, and women's health diagnostics
Experience
- Proven experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with proficiency in multiple ultrasound modalities such as obstetric, gynecological, breast, abdominal, vascular, and echocardiography imaging
- Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) is required; additional certifications in maternal-fetal medicine or vascular technology are highly desirable
- Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to women's health and reproductive patient care
- Experience operating diverse medical imaging equipment including ultrasound machines and PACS systems
- Strong understanding of medical imaging best practices combined with excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory; leadership qualities will be valued highly
Pay: $41.00 - $43.00 per hour
