This is a full-time position offering a starting annual salary of $150,000 plus no cap bonus structure and a monthly $100 internet and cell phone allowance. This is a remote role that requires applicants to reside in NY or NJ and willing to travel at least 40% of the time.
Job Summary:
The Business Development team of Medrina is the primary point of contact for our skilled nursing facility clients as well as our physicians.This role performs all responsibilities of account management, including developing and maintaining strategic business relationships with various skilled nursing facilities with the goal of bringing value to providers, developing new business, and increasing sales in assigned territories. Strong internal communication within departments is vital for the success of all implementation and maintenance of projects and partnerships. This role reports to the Chief Business Development and Strategy officer and is a part of the national Business Development team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Expand regional sales territory through new business development
a. 25-50% of business should be through newly developed SNF relationships - Expand regional sales territory through expansion of existing client relationships
a. 50-75% of expansion from existing business - Sell both Physiatry and Internal Medicine services within given territory. The line of
services can expand as the company grows as a multi-specialty physician group.This includes cross-selling with other BD members. - Develop and maintain solid customer relationships with key executives and decision makers at all levels within an organization. Maintain effective communication and relationships with key customers.
- Present to various audience levels within an organization.
- Articulate value proposition rather than selling to basic needs.
- Provide exemplary service, product knowledge, industry knowledge, integrity and trust within accounts.
- Liaison between clients and physicians.
- Maintain strong communication with providers by keeping hired providers informed of the process and status of new business development needs, providing timely and consistent updates to these providers regardless of the progress to stay connected.
- Maximize time for call planning, client appointments, cold-calling, customer follow-up and data mining/ research to establish target companies.
- Travels efficiently and with purpose through sales territory about 40% of the time to
establish and cultivate customer base while maintaining home office. - Majority of initial new business should be done face to face, including introductions of our providers before PSA’s are signed.
- Practice strong organizational and time management skills, prioritizing and tracking details on multiple projects with varying completion dates.
- Continuous and timely update both Hubspot (CRM), business development pipelines and recruitment pipelines on a weekly basis. This should include facility names, locations, potential start dates, census, supervising physicians (if required) and any detail that will provide supporting departments with pertinent and requested information.
- Manage external and internal email correspondence efficiently, ensuring a response to emails within one business day or 24 hours. For emails requiring extended research or analysis, acknowledge receipt within the same timeframe and communicate a realistic timeline for a detailed response.
- Provide timely and effective communications (updates, projects status) to internal teams: such as recruitment, clinical operations, innovation teams and others.
- Accomplishing goals, independently, depending on oneself to complete objectives and determining when escalation of issues is necessary.
Job Requirements (Skills, Education, Proficiency):
- 5 years’ experience handling a sales process in the Healthcare environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree in related fields of study.
- Prospect, qualify, and generate new sales through both virtual and in-person outreach.
- Demonstrated success selling at the leadership and C-Suite level.
- Successful track record of building and sustain pipeline for future sales opportunities as well as driving complex and consultative sales potentially involving multiple product groups and divisions.
- Understanding of the business application and impact of services we sell.
- Adapt to changing business needs, conditions and work responsibilities.
- Excellent communication skills, including superior negotiation and influencing skills. Acute listening skills to gain understanding or to solve a problem and the ability to recognize the difference.
- Ability to manage difficult conversations, strong collaboration skills to seek alignment.
- Proficient organizational and project management skills.
- Proficiency with MS Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and informational and reporting systems such as Hubspot.
Physical Requirements:
- Travel at least 40% of the time.
