The Team:
- We’re a team of passionate, mission-driven engineers from companies like Tesla, Amazon, SpaceX, and Neuralink. We’re collaborative and love moving fast, both with our product and on team trips skiing or go-karting!
- As a team, we love nerding out about engineering and robotics — plus other topics like race cars or cooking. We like learning new things and then sharing our new knowledge with each other.
- Our team is opinionated and straightforward. We don’t mind intense discussions about design tradeoffs. If we have arguments or miscommunication, we resolve conflicts quickly and empathetically.
- Build and own the entire talent function at Medra
- Partner directly with leadership to define hiring needs and shape role requirements
- Run full-cycle recruiting across technical and non-technical roles
- Develop sourcing strategies and proactively engage top-tier candidates
- Create and refine interview processes, rubrics, and evaluation systems
- Clearly communicate progress, surface risks early, and keep hiring moving quickly
- Build scalable recruiting workflows, systems, and tools
- Maintain an excellent candidate experience and represent Medra’s mission compellingly
- Take full ownership of critical hires from start to finish
- This is a 5 days a week in-person role in our San Francisco office; relocation support available
- 4-10 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally at fast-growing startups
- Ability to source, assess, and close exceptional technical talent
- Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with founders
- Experience building processes, workflows, or recruiting systems
- A builders mindset- you are scrappy, fast-moving, adaptable
- Willingness to wear many hats and own broad responsibilities
- A bias toward action, autonomy, and high accountability
- Experience hiring in AI, robotics, biotech, or other deep tech areas
- Early-stage or founding-team recruiting experience
- Familiarity with structured hiring, compensation research, and talent branding
- Experience bringing candidates from outreach → hire in fast, high-bar environments
Salary : $170,000 - $225,000
