The Sheet Metal Project Manager will oversee all aspects of their assigned project with specific regard to managing the project costs, field labor, subcontractors/vendors, and delivering a quality, safe and on-time project, under budget, and exceeding customer's expectations.

Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment through consistent safety meetings, incident investigations and employee involvement.
- Provide key leadership and responsibility for planning and managing the installation of HVAC ductwork that meet code and project requirements, under-budget and on-time installation.
- Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal legal requirements.
- Ensure the quality of work to corporate standards and project requirements.
- Conduct and document Operational project meetings (Hand-Off Meeting, Kick-Off Meeting, etc.) with appropriate parties in a timely manner.
- Identify fabrication/manufacturing opportunities and create execution plan with the project team.
- Negotiate and prepare vendor and subcontractor purchase orders.
- Evaluate submittals to reflect contract drawings, specifications and estimates.
- Perform project set up, job costing system with labor, material, and subcontract cost codes. Submit to corporate team.
- Produce monthly reports and conduct cost reviews, capturing deviations from project plan, and inform Corporate team.
- Meet or exceed all financial budgets and labor productivity goals.
- Drive cash flow by establishing front-loaded schedule of values, timely and accurate billing, collection of payments, and cash management of subs.
- Assist in obtaining and coordinating appropriate lien waivers, state notifications, and tax documentation as required.
- Coordination and quality assurance of project detail drawings.
- Estimate change orders and submit to the Corporate team.
- Daily project requirements include but are not limited to:
- Attendance at jobsites meetings.
- Review of jobsite labor reports.
- Evaluate job progress.
- Preparation and tracking of Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Assist Supervision with permitting and inspections.
- Approve vendor/sub invoices, status reports, monthly billings, and collections.
- Build and maintain strong customer relations with general contractor, subcontractors, vendors, and owner, ensuring customer satisfaction with a can-do attitude.
- Monitor status of Risk Management, ensuring proper Notice to Proceed, change orders, contracts, certificate of insurance, and bonds.
- Monitor and adjust for productivity, safety, and theft avoidance.
- Develop office and field personnel including Foremen, Superintendents, and Field workforce.
- Verification of quality, accuracy, delivery, and installation of fabrication and equipment, ensuring product meets project plans, specifications, and local code requirements.
- Finalize O&M (Operations and maintenance) manuals.
- Work with Supervision to complete punch list and prepare as-built drawings.
- Collect payments and retainage, close project financials, and file documentation.
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications
- 2 years of Sheet Metal experience in the commercial industry preferred.
- 1 years of Project Management experience preferred.
- Excellent organization and time-management skills.
- Strong leadership capabilities.
- Committed to safety.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Well-versed in the industry and the Company’s competitors.
- Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field.
- 10-25% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.
