- 10- and 12-hour shifts
- Mileage reimbursement and travel support when applicable
- Screen patients prior to exam day
- Assist the patient in completing paperwork
- Obtain medical history from the patient
- Escort the patient to the changing room and ensure they are dressed appropriately for the exam
- Escort patients to and from the mobile MRI or exam room
- Screen the patient for the exam - mainly MRI and CT exams
- Assist the technologist in preparing the exam table (coil selection, changing linen, etc.)
- Collate films and deliver to Radiologist
- Maintain linen inventory
- Assist with quarterly imaging inventory
- Research availability and obtain reports and films requested by Radiologist
- Serve as liaison between the Technologist and Radiologist
- Other duties as assigned
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Phlebotomy certification, Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA or NHA), Registered Medical Assistant (AMT or ARMA), or ARRT registration in (R), (MR), (CT), or (M) required
- CPR certification required
- 0-2 years of related healthcare experience preferred
- Experience performing venipuncture and/or starting IVs required
- Experience working directly with patients in a clinical setting preferred
