The Plumbing Service Technician I is responsible for performing small plumbing repairs, drain cleaning, assist with equipment replacements, and pipe installation.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning and clearing of sewer/storm piping.
- Emergency response to after-hour plumbing calls.
- Video camera inspections to properly diagnose problems and assess the situation appropriately.
- Hydro jetting procedures to clean, clear, and maintain sewer/storm piping.
- Assists service plumbers with installations and repairs.
- Schedules HVAC maintenance and cleaning.
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications
- 5 years' experience as a Service Plumber
- Experience with operating sewer machines
- Experience with operating hydro jetting equipment.
- Experience with operating sewer cameras and identifying possible drainage problems.
- Experience with pipe installation and equipment replacement.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC operation.
- Basic electrical safety.
- Acceptable driving record.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.
- Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
- OSHA 30 Certification.
- 90% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.
- Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles.
- Climbing stairs.
- Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Operating machinery and/or power tools.
- Outdoor elements such as precipitation, heat, cold, and/or wind.
- Noisy environment.
- Light to heavy work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects from 20-100 pounds.
