Responsibilities
- Perform MRI scans efficiently while ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Screen patients for contraindications and prepare them for procedures
- Select appropriate imaging protocols and positioning techniques
- Administer contrast agents per regulations
- Monitor patient condition and assess image quality during procedures
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation and image archiving
- Ensure equipment functionality and perform routine maintenance
- Uphold high standards of patient care and customer service
- Follow safety protocols and regulatory compliance
- Participate in continuing education and cross-training as needed
- Support quality assurance and maintain confidentiality
Qualifications
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program
- ARRT registered with advanced registry in MRI
- Must complete required CEU’s in a timely manner to ensure Certification remains active
- Active state licensure, where applicable
- CPR Certification is required
- 0 years of experience as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist, required
- 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist, preferred
- IV skills required
- Knowledge of MRI procedures and standards
- Demonstrate adequate knowledge of anatomy
- Skill in operation of MRI equipment
- Customer service background and focus
