Summary
The Risk Management Coordinator will work closely with the Manager and Supervisor of the Finance Auditing & Recoveries Department to manage the renewal of insurance policies for MedPOINT Management and its clients. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing and understanding insurance policies and requests from insurance companies and brokers, preparing renewal applications, and compiling supporting documentation, including disclosures and financials. This involves collaborating with various departments to ensure all necessary information is collected and submitted accurately and on time.
A key responsibility of this role is to ensure that all renewals are completed with accurate and updated information to avoid claim issues due to disclosure errors. The Insurance Renewal Coordinator will play a critical role in maintaining compliance and supporting effective risk management practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicate and coordinate with insurance brokers and carriers regarding policy renewals and application requirements
- Complete and submit insurance applications accurately and in a timely manner
- Request and gather necessary documentation and information required for insurance renewals
- Compile, organize, and prepare renewal packages for submission to brokers
- Work directly with clients to obtain required signatures and authorizations on insurance applications
- Submit signed applications and supporting documentation to brokers and carriers to complete the renewal process
- Maintain and update current insurance policy records in Smartsheet, ensuring accuracy and timely updates
- Provide insurance-related documentation and information to Finance and Compliance teams for internal and external audits
Minimum Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience reading and interpreting health plan contracts, or working with an insurance broker or carrier specifically handling policies such as Errors & Omissions (E&O), Directors & Officers (D&O), Medical Malpractice, Cyber Liability, and Miscellaneous Professional Liability (Misc E&O)
- Strong understanding of business insurance coverage types is highly preferred
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Solid understanding of business insurance types and/or the ability to read, interpret, and understand insurance policies and contracts
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and prepare reports in response to insurance carrier or broker requests
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Word, Excel, and Access
- Familiarity with EZ-CAP® is a plus
Salary Range:
- $60,000 - $70,000 annually
