What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reimbursement Specialist position at MedPlus Infusion Pharmacy?
Responsible to verify home infusion therapy benefits for Medicare-D, Medicaid, Tricare, UHC, CareFirst and other payers.
Uses payer contracts to calculate and collect applicable drug and supply copay and coinsurance.
Obtains insurance authorization ensuring correct HCPC, CPT codes and units applied.
CMS 1500 experience required. Experience in the home infusion setting preferred. Persistence in collection activities required.
Must be well organized with attention to detail and have related experience utilizing HCPC’S, CPT, ICD-10 and insurance reimbursement guidelines.
General knowledge of Microsoft office, professional phone etiquette and excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed.
