About the Role
Duties
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime.
- Planning and prioritizing work orders and scheduling overall repair and maintenance activities to minimize production downtime and disruptions.
- Manage repair and maintenance of manufacturing facilities and equipment, including infrastructure, and replacement parts.
- Develop strategies to identify safety problems and institute solutions.
- Supervise and manage maintenance team members, ensuring effective allocation of tasks and resources.
- Lead teams to improve the efficiency and quality of operations.
- Liaise with other departments to prioritize and schedule maintenance activities based on operational needs.
- Assist quality manager in developing root cause analysis of potential quality problems and work with technicians to implement corrective actions.
- Develop process procedures for technicians to follow.
- Proactively engage and support company initiatives to promote safety, environmental protection, and continual improvement.
- Monitor and evaluate performance metrics to improve processes and ensure long-term reliability.
- Negotiating with outside vendors/contractors for supplies, repairs, and capital purchases.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory.
- Manage maintenance budgets and optimize cost-efficiency while maintaining high standards.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical principles, practical troubleshooting, and process theory in plastics injection molding and injection blow molding.
