Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical conditions, including mobility, strength, flexibility, and pain levels
- Develop and implement individualized care plans utilizing physiotherapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy, and exercise prescriptions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning and ensure seamless patient transitions across care settings
- Provide specialized care for pediatrics, geriatrics, orthopedics, and patients in acute care or outpatient environments
- Educate patients and their families on physiotherapy exercises, injury prevention strategies, and home care routines
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
- Stay current with advancements in physiology knowledge, medical terminology, and physiotherapy best practices to enhance patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited program
- Valid licensure or registration as a Physiotherapist with relevant health authorities
- Proven experience in inpatient hospital settings, outpatient clinics, or home health environments
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to musculoskeletal, neurological, and geriatrics populations
- Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and care coordination
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient needs
- Ability to perform discharge planning efficiently while managing acute care cases effectively
- Experience with home & community care services is highly desirable
