We are seeking an exceptional Director of Transplant Services to drive operational excellence, clinical quality, and community outreach, significantly impacting patient care across Dallas County.
This pivotal leadership role will partner with the Program Medical Director to set the strategic framework, manage infrastructure, and ensure effective and efficient service delivery for the assigned program priority.
Key Responsibilities
As the Director of Transplant Services, you will be responsible for both strategic development and efficient operations, including:
- Strategic & Operational Oversight: Collaborate with the Program Medical Director to ensure effective and efficient program operations. Drive the integration of strategy and execution to meet service line goals and enhance the continuum of patient care.
- Quality and Best Practice Implementation: Engage stakeholders to implement clinical best practice guidelines with standardized documentation, actively improving alignment with outside partners for better quality and financial outcomes.
- Innovative Care Models: Develop and implement program strategies focused on an exceptional, person-centered experience. Introduce innovative care models to improve quality, reduce variation, and align care with state/national clinical guidelines.
- Collaboration & Communication: Foster communication across all levels of the health system—including executive leadership, providers, and staff—by building strategic alliances and effective communication pathways.
- Process Standardization: Standardize, measure, and sustain reliable processes to improve timely access to care and decrease unnecessary emergency department and inpatient visits for managed patients using evidence-based interventions.
- Accreditation and Compliance: In collaboration with organizational committees, ensure the program obtains and sustains all necessary accreditations and recognitions from required agencies and commissions.
- Leadership Triad: Co-facilitate multi-disciplinary meetings with the program's core leadership team (Program Medical Director and Director of Nursing).
- Payment Model Participation: Ensure participation in relevant Centers of Medicaid Medicare Innovation programs and other alternative payment models to drive improved patient access and engagement.
- Community Partnership: Identify and leverage collaborative community partnerships to enhance patient engagement in disease management and connect patients with crucial community resources.
- Representation: Represent the organization in local and national forums, conferences, and initiatives to advance professional excellence and awareness of program activities.
Required Qualifications
RequirementDetailsEducationRequired: Master's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Health Administration, or a related field.ExperienceRequired: Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in Transplant Services and Peritoneal Dialysis operations.
Skills and Special Abilities
- Thorough knowledge of the Scope of Practice, Standards of Practice, and specific program Standards.
- Proficiency in managing program oversight, data management platforms, and maintenance of specialized accreditation/certification.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and evaluate program process and outcome measures, aligning them with organizational mission and vision.
- Exceptional skills in managing multiple operational teams and executing strategic goals.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, capable of conducting briefings for senior and executive leadership.
- Proven capacity for motivating, recruiting, and educating staff through program adaptations.
- Demonstrates person-centered/person-valued behaviors, providing an exceptional customer experience.
- Proficient in fiscal management, including budget, personnel, and managing grant funds (if applicable).
- Superior writing skills for composing grant proposals, reports, and professional documentation.
