Job Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and updates in electronic health records (EHR)
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure medical equipment is sterilized and ready for use
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing
- Provide patient education on medications, treatment plans, and health maintenance
- Handle scheduling, insurance verification, and administrative tasks as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment
Qualifications & Skills:
- Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited medical assisting program preferred
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a clinical setting preferred
- Skills: Excellent communication, multitasking, and patient care skills
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with EHR systems and basic computer skills
