Job Title: Yard Tractor Operator
As a key member of our transportation team, the Yard Tractor Operator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics processes. Operating a yard tractor to shuttle trailers and containers is a daily task that requires attention to detail and excellent driving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily inspections of vehicles to ensure all safety-related features are functioning properly
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle inventory and organization of the yard area
- Setup shipping with empty trailers for load out and remove loaded trailers and stage in the yard drop area
- Place packing lists and seals on trailers as assigned by shipping coordinators
- Meet minimum requirements for commercial motor vehicle operation, including a clean driving record and ability to work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of tractor-trailer/commercial driving experience
- Superb driving skills and ability to back up trailers
- Able to meet business needs within Federal and State regulations
