Under supervision, analyze existing processes to identify areas of improvement and develop solutions to increase efficiencies and reduce labor costs. Manage multiple projects of small to medium scope with a focus on process optimization.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct protocol development and implementation for new materials and processes, ensuring that new products meet strict quality and performance standards set by the division. This includes performing burst testing, tensile testing, and impact quality assessments.
Analyze existing procedures to enhance statistical analysis, inspections, and validation activities. Participate in process improvement events such as Kaizen and other lean initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
Identify opportunities to increase operational productivity across warehouse, manufacturing, reorder, buying, and production control areas. Conduct cost analyses to determine breakeven points, payback periods, and associated hard and soft savings.
Develop and implement functional requirements, test plans, and resolve production issues. Provide training on quality assurance and engineering concepts and tools, including inspection, measurement, and test methods.
Analyze operational procedures to develop, validate, and deploy labor standards in manufacturing-related areas.
Required Experience:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.
Skills and Qualifications:
Intermediate skill level in computer and systems use (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
