Staff Pharmacist – Per Diem/Part-Time

Medlife Pharmacy is looking for a reliable, patient-focused Staff Pharmacist to join our community pharmacy team on a per-diem basis.

We are specifically seeking a pharmacist who is available to work Wednesdays and every other Saturday. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced pharmacist looking for a consistent, flexible per-diem schedule in a community pharmacy setting.

• Additional coverage may be available or requested based on pharmacy needs

Responsibilities

• Accurately review, process, and dispense prescriptions in accordance with New Jersey and federal pharmacy laws.
• Counsel patients regarding medications, proper use, potential side effects, drug interactions, and adherence.
• Provide friendly, professional, and personalized customer service.
• Administer immunizations in accordance with applicable laws and certification requirements.
• Communicate with patients, prescribers, and healthcare professionals to resolve medication-related questions and concerns.
• Oversee daily pharmacy operations and maintain an efficient, safe, and organized workflow.
• Maintain accurate patient records and required pharmacy documentation.
• Assist with inventory management, medication ordering, and controlled substance procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations and pharmacy policies.
• Use pharmacy management software for prescription processing, patient profiles, billing, and documentation.
• Contribute to a positive team environment and help maintain a high standard of patient care.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Pharmacist License in good standing.
• PharmD or equivalent pharmacy degree.
• Previous community/retail pharmacy experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of New Jersey and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication safety.
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a pharmacy team.
• Immunization certification and vaccination experience preferred.
• BestRx experience preferred.
• Reliable and dependable with a strong commitment to patient care.
• Must be available to work Wednesdays and every other Saturday.
