What are the responsibilities and job description for the Home Infusion Nurse position at MedLife Infusion Nursing?
Registered Nurse - Home Infusion
Duties:
- Administer intravenous medications per pharmacy orders
- Monitor patients during infusion therapy and assess for any adverse reactions
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding infusion therapy and self-care at home
- Collaborate with pt patients, us, and our pharmacies to ensure dependable infusion coverage
- obtain serum labs via venipuncture or central line access and deliver to partnering lab
-perform sterile dressing changes for PICC and Midline access
- educate pts on use of intravenous access, medication administration, and aseptic technique during teaching sessions
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in your home state, compact preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be very independent and have strong nursing background
- We welcome nurses new to home infusion with open arms, but you must have at least 3 years of inpatient nursing experience
- Must be excellent at obtaining peripheral IV access without assistance
- Willingness to drive to patients homes & reliable transportation
