We’re seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of revenue recognition and accounts receivable reporting within a complex healthcare environment. This position partners closely with Revenue Cycle, Billing, FP&A, and operational leaders to support GAAP- and ASC 606–compliant revenue processes, identify revenue trends, and drive data-informed decision-making.

🔍 What You’ll Do
- Lead end-to-end revenue recognition activities, ensuring compliance with GAAP and ASC 606 standards
- Review hospital and payer contracts to determine appropriate accounting treatment
- Prepare and analyze revenue reports, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for leadership
- Support month-end close, including gross revenue, patient statistics, and A/R valuation
- Collaborate with billing, operations, and revenue cycle teams to improve revenue accuracy and performance
- Analyze large data sets to validate system configurations and financial outputs
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit requests
- Drive process improvements through automation, scalable controls, and enhanced reporting
- Lead and contribute to cross-functional revenue-related projects with measurable business impact
📊 Analytics & Strategic Support
- Develop and maintain advanced financial models using complex Excel formulas and functions
- Translate complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights
- Support payor mix analysis, claims trend reviews, and strategic revenue optimization initiatives
- Identify anomalies, resolve data inconsistencies, and recommend improvements using professional judgment
- Build strong partnerships with revenue cycle leaders and key stakeholders across the organization
🎯 What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s preferred)
- 3 years of recent, relevant accounting experience
- Strong experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (financial modeling, formulas, analysis)
- Prior experience with revenue cycle, financial reporting, and analytics
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic healthcare environment
Preferred Experience:
- CPA certification
- Big Four audit background
- Experience in a large academic or complex healthcare system
- Exposure to high-growth or highly regulated environments
