Quality Assurance Manager - 252463

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Quality Manager to lead our Quality Assurance team and champion operational excellence. Reporting to the VP of Quality, you will ensure our products, processes, and systems consistently surpass customer and regulatory standards. You will partner closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Procurement to drive continuous improvement and a robust culture of quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop the QA team while fostering accountability.
• QMS Management: Maintain and elevate the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance.
• Problem Solving: Lead cross-functional root-cause investigations and implement effective corrective actions (CAPA) for internal, supplier, and customer issues.
• Process Optimization: Partner with Engineering and Production to reduce variation, improve process capabilities, and support PFMEA activities.
• Data-Driven Improvement: Track key metrics (scrap, rework, RMAs) to spearhead quality initiatives and manage the equipment calibration program.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5 years of progressive manufacturing quality experience; prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in QMS frameworks, root-cause analysis tools, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Industry Background: Experience in plastics, medical devices, or highly regulated manufacturing environments is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, cross-functional leadership, and data-backed decision-making abilities.
