Job Title: Phlebotomist
Location: Reynoldsburg, OH
Pay Range: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Job Responsibilities:
Collects specimens through proper handling protocols to ensure specimen viability and accurate clinical results.
Utilizes standard procedures to identify patients, label and record test tubes, log procedures, and enter specimen data into the computer system.
Provides exceptional customer service by responding quickly, courteously, and professionally to patients, clients, and co-workers.
Handles administrative duties including receiving, identifying, accessioning, and processing specimens in accordance with established protocols.
Prepares specimens for transportation, ensuring accurate labeling and proper matching of specimens to patients.
Understands laboratory requisitioning for accurate billing documentation.
Maintains a clean work area and ensures adequate laboratory supplies are available.
Follows departmental policies, procedures, and laboratory safety practices to maintain compliance.
Keeps required licensure current.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year recent phlebotomy experience.
Comfortable and confident performing independent phlebotomy work.
Basic computer and data entry skills.
Dependable and reliable work ethic.
High School Diploma or GED required.
