In-Vivo Research Associate - 254261

Responsibilities:

• Support in vivo preclinical studies evaluating medical devices and therapeutics across multiple disease indications.
• Utilize knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and surgical techniques to assist in the development and execution of animal models.
• Administer test articles using multiple routes, including oral gavage, intravenous (IV), subcutaneous (SC), intraperitoneal (IP), and intramuscular (IM) injections.
• Monitor animal health, behavior, and overall well-being throughout study duration.
• Collect biological specimens, including blood samples from appropriate vessels across multiple laboratory animal species.
• Perform study activities in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) regulations, study protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and company policies.
• Review study documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with quality control requirements.
• Handle, restrain, and provide routine care for laboratory animals while maintaining high animal welfare standards.
• Prepare study materials and laboratory spaces, including room setup and specimen labeling.
• Perform catheter placement procedures in large animal models.
• Conduct biopsies, skin excisions, necropsies, and tissue collection to support research objectives.
• Collaborate with Study Directors, Principal Investigators, Quality Assurance/Quality Control teams, and Account Managers to support successful study execution.
• Maintain accurate study documentation and data within internal databases.
• Contribute to internal research initiatives focused on improving processes and expanding service capabilities.
• Perform aseptic techniques and provide additional laboratory and research support as directed by management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or Associate degree in Animal Science, Biology, Veterinary Technology, or a related life sciences field.
• Hands-on experience supporting preclinical in vivo research in a GLP-regulated laboratory, CRO, or similar research environment.
• Experience working with large animal models and performing routine animal handling, restraint, and husbandry.
• Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and surgical procedures.
• Experience administering test articles through multiple routes, including oral gavage, intravenous (IV), subcutaneous (SC), intraperitoneal (IP), and intramuscular (IM) injections.
• Ability to collect biological specimens and assist with surgical procedures, necropsies, and tissue collection.
• Strong understanding of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and quality documentation requirements.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to accurately maintain study records and documentation.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional research teams.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to animal welfare.
