The Collection Nurse RN position is a unique patient-facing customer service role. A diagnostic testing lab company is hiring an RN to provide in-person patient sample pickup services to their local Bradenton client doctor offices. The position's focus is developing and maintaining relationships with clients and patients, answering questions and becoming a trusted resource.
It is a field-based role, located in and around Bradenton, FL (no travel).
Work Schedule: M-F 9:00am-5:00pm (no weekends or holidays)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient sample pickup visits to doctor offices, clinics, and patient homes for shipment to the company's testing labs. (Will not be performing medical procedures)
- Serve as an informational / educational resource to patients and clinic staff about the testing process, services, etc. Coordinate with the HCP to ensure timely and proper collection of specimens.
- Provide excellent customer service and establish relationships with clinic staff, physicians, and patients through repeat visits.
- Ensure sample integrity and maintain confidentiality.
- Reliably deliver patient specimens to FedEx every day before the daily shipping deadline of approx. 4:30pm.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in the state of Florida
- 2 to 4 years of direct patient care experience, must include hospital experience
- Energetic personality with excellent customer service skills
- Highly detail-oriented and organized, with excellent time management skills
- Able to work independently
- Reliable and dependable to safely and discreetly coordinate the timely shipment of patient samples every day
- Valid driver's license and reliable automobile transportation
Misc:
- Mileage Reimbursement is provided for driving between client sites around Bradenton.
