Position Summary
The OR Circulator RN provides perioperative nursing care, performs nursing assessments, coordinates pre-surgical clearances, ensures proper equipment and supplies, and supports safe, efficient surgical workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate perioperative care in collaboration with the surgical team
- Maintain a positive, professional presence with patients, physicians, and colleagues
- Educate patients throughout the surgical process
- Ensure supplies, instruments, and equipment are available and functioning
- Monitor inventory and document patient care accurately
- Participate in continuing education and department committees
- Identify and mitigate patient/staff safety risks
- Perform charge nurse duties as needed
- Assist with room turnovers (approx. 15 minutes)
Schedule
- Three 10-hour shifts/week (approx. 6 AM–4/5 PM)
- Target days: Wed–Fri
- Surgery begins at 7 AM; staff arrive by 6 AM
- Some days end early (2–3 PM); others may go to 7 PM
- Center open Tue–Fri; occasional Monday schedules known months ahead
Compensation
- $50–$70/hr, depending on experience
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years OR Circulator experience
- Active WA RN license
- CPR, ACLS, PALS
- Graduate of accredited nursing program
- Willing to assist with environmental duties/room turnover
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Ortho, Podiatry, Cataracts, or scrubbing

- Team includes Circulator, Float RN, Charge RN, Scrub Techs
