Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and pMedical Assistant to oversee daily clinical operations while providing exceptional direct patient care. In this role, you will balance clinical support tasks-such as rooming patients, taking vitals, and handling lab specimens-with leadership responsibilities, including staff supervision, workflow coordination, and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Operations & Patient Care
Direct Patient Care: Room patients, capture accurate vital signs, and document comprehensive medical histories, allergies, and reasons for visits following nursing protocols.
Clinical Support: Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures, ensuring clear communication to optimize patient outcomes.
Laboratory Services: Collect, label, and prepare laboratory specimens for processing and tracking.
Workflow Coordination: Monitor physician schedules and actively manage patient flow to ensure timely visits and minimal wait times.
Leadership & Operations:
Daily Oversight: Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for daily clinic operations, resolving immediate logistical or patient issues, or escalating them to leadership when necessary.
Staff Supervision: Lead front-line clinical staff, delegate daily duties, and ensure strict adherence to regulatory, billing, and customer service standards.
Quality Assurance: Audit ordered diagnostic tests to ensure timely results and work collaboratively with healthcare teams to implement clinical best practices.
Training & Compliance: Conduct onboarding and ongoing training for staff, review care protocols, and strictly enforce infection prevention guidelines.
Facility & Administrative Management:
Resource Management: Monitor inventory for medical supplies, track equipment functionality, and promptly report maintenance needs.
Strategic Alignment: Act as an accountable steward of the organizational mission, core values, and departmental goals.
General Support: Perform other duties as assigned to support relationship-based care and overall clinic efficiency.
Position Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED.
Active Medical Assistant (MA) Certification.
Active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
1 or more years of experience in a clinical environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Background or prior experience in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine is highly preferred.
Previous experience in a shift lead, supervisor, or coordinator role is a plus.
Schedule & Shift Details:
Days: Monday through Friday
Shift: 4x10-hour shifts (four days per week)
Hours: 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM
