Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Urgent Care Clinic (Seattle Eastside Area)

Location: On-site • Eastside Network (Issaquah, Bellevue, Redmond, Newcastle)

Position Type: Contract-to-Hire (Approx. 6 Months / 480 Hours)

Compensation: $27.00 – $32.00 / hour (Based on experience)

Openings: 4 Full-Time Roles (40 hours/week)

Position Overview

A leading, award-winning regional healthcare network is seeking Certified Medical Assistants (CMA) to support several busy urgent care clinics across the Eastside area.

This role is ideal for experienced Medical Assistants who thrive in high-volume, dynamic environments and are looking for a long-term home. While this assignment begins as a 6-month contract to provide core clinic support, it offers strong potential for internal conversion to a permanent role upon completion.

Key Responsibilities

• High-Volume Patient Care: Room approximately 20–30 patients per day in a fast-paced urgent care setting.
• Clinical Intake: Obtain and document vital signs, chief complaints, and health history accurately in the Epic EHR system.
• Phlebotomy & Lab Duties: Perform venipunctures, specimen collection, and standard diagnostic testing on blood samples.
• Provider Support: Work directly 1:1 with urgent care physicians and advanced practice providers, assisting with procedures, follow-ups, and virtual check-ins.
• Patient Communication: Manage and respond to routine patient portal inquiries and care follow-ups.
• Collaborative Float: Cross-cover clinic needs across Eastside urgent care sites as needed.

Available Shifts & Schedules

All positions are 40 hours per week with set schedules:

• Position 1 (PM Shift): Tuesday – Saturday | 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• Position 2 (AM Shift): Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday | 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM
• Position 3 (PM Shift): Sunday – Wednesday, Saturday | 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• Position 4 (PM Shift): Sunday, Monday, Thursday – Saturday | 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM

Qualifications & Requirements

• Licensure: Active Washington State Department of Health (DOH) Medical Assistant - Certified credential.
• Experience: 2 years of clinical Medical Assistant experience.
• Clinical Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy and blood draws.
• Adaptability: Ability to hit the ground running after an initial 1-week orientation in a fast-paced setting.
• Mobility: Willingness and reliability to support clinics within the Eastside urgent care network (Issaquah, Bellevue, Redmond, and Newcastle).
• Preferred:
• Prior urgent care or ambulatory care experience.
• Experience utilizing Epic EHR.
