What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paramedic - 911 Ambulance on the Oregon Coast position at MEDIX AMBULANCE SERVICE, INC.?
On the North Oregon Coast in beautiful Astoria, Warrenton, Gearhart, Seaside, and Cannon Beach, Medix Ambulance Service is looking for enthusiastic professionals with high integrity who want to serve the community through the application of emergency medical care. Our EMS system allows for a very unique exposure to patient contact in a variety of settings, including:
- ALS 9-1-1 emergency response and transport. We are the primary ALS provider in our response area.
- Emergency and non-emergency ALS & BLS inter-facility transports, including critical care level patients on transport ventilators, CPAP, and IV pumps.
- Special event medical standbys
Requirements of the Paramedic position include:
- Current Oregon Paramedic License
- Current BLS, ACLS, PHTLS, and pediatric certifications (accepted pediatric certifications include PALS, PEPP, or EPC)
- Valid driver’s license
- Minimum of 21 years in age
- Applicants must meet Medix Ambulance’s motor vehicle record, National/Federal and criminal background check, drug & alcohol screening, and physical requirement standards. Medix Ambulance is a drug free work place.
