WINDOWS SYSTEMS ENGINEER
Summary:
We are seeking an IT professional, a dedicated Windows Systems Engineer in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will be responsible for supporting our Infrastructure team with managing, maintaining, monitoring, installing, and configuring various types of systems and applications as well as participating in the patch management process.
Responsibilities:
- Image management, developing, updating, and deploying Windows images using Microsoft tools such as DISM and WDS
- Maintain and upgrade Windows Client/Server Operating Systems
- Assess, plan, and execute scheduled Windows Patches and Application updates
- Automate and schedule software installation and configuration
- Monitor and remediate vulnerable assets by working with IT Security personnel
- Track IT Tickets and assist end-users with issues
- Provide levels 1, 2, & 3 technical support to end-users and other IT team members
- Create technical documentation for new procedures and setups
- Audit hardware and software information from different systems
- Configure Windows OS and application settings, registry, and security
- Troubleshoot and setup various hardware, printer, application, and networking devices
- Deploy various software and configuration using RMM solution
- Create and run different types of system reports when required
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in Windows Client/Server management and administration
- Knowledge and experience with VMWare (ESXi/vSphere/vCenter)
- Experienced with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Great troubleshooting skills
- Good Organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of IT Ticketing Systems
- Knowledge of Windows Deployment, images, and automation (WDS, SysPrep, WIMs, DISM, PXE)
- Experienced with RMM solutions and Remote Control
- Troubleshoot networking issues with DNS, DHCP, Routing, VLAN, VPN, Firewall, etc…
- Basic understanding of general scripting and automation (Batch, PowerShell, VBScript)
- Experience with Security practices and protocols such as domain/network permissions, least privilege access, elevated access, AV
- Experience with Windows security updates and patch management
- Familiarity with change control/management process
Good to have/Desired:
- Familiarity with IBM/HCL BigFix software suite
- Active Directory user and computer management skills
- Familiarity with Sophos Central suite would be plus
- Familiarity with Rapid7 vulnerability management
- Familiarity with Imprivata OneSign suite (SSO, EPCS, PAM, etc.) would be a plus
- Familiarity with ManageEngine suite of products would be a plus
- Basic understating of Citrix products and technologies such Workspace, Virtual Apps, NetScaler and StoreFront would be a plus
Salary : $90,000 - $150,000
