Epic Revenue Cycle Product Manager

We are seeking an experienced Epic Revenue Cycle Product Manager who will be responsible for leading the strategic direction, optimization, and ongoing performance of Epic revenue cycle products and workflows. This role partners closely with operational, clinical, finance, IT, and vendor stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions that improve revenue cycle efficiency, user experience, compliance, and financial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the product roadmap for Epic revenue cycle applications, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, operational priorities, regulatory requirements, and financial performance objectives.
• Serve as the primary product leader for Epic revenue cycle functionality, including areas such as Hospital Billing, Professional Billing, Claims, Patient Access, Charge Capture, Coding, HIM, and related integrations.
• Partner with revenue cycle operations, finance, compliance, clinical leadership, and IT teams to gather requirements, define priorities, and deliver effective workflow and system solutions.
• Own and prioritize the product backlog, balancing enhancement requests, optimization opportunities, system upgrades, defect resolution, and long-term strategic initiatives.
• Lead cross-functional discovery, design, build, testing, implementation, and post-launch support activities for Epic revenue cycle initiatives.
• Evaluate existing workflows and system performance to identify opportunities for automation, standardization, improved usability, and measurable operational improvement.
• Define success metrics, monitor key performance indicators, and use data-driven insights to assess product effectiveness and guide future improvements.
• Coordinate with Epic analysts, developers, project managers, vendors, and operational stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of product enhancements and projects.
• Support Epic upgrades, new module deployments, regulatory updates, payer requirement changes, and enterprise revenue cycle transformation initiatives.
• Communicate product vision, priorities, risks, timelines, and outcomes clearly to executive sponsors, business owners, and project teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, Business, Finance, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Significant experience supporting, managing, or optimizing Epic revenue cycle applications in a healthcare environment.
• Strong understanding of revenue cycle operations, including registration, billing, claims, denials, coding, charge capture, reimbursement, and patient financial workflows.
• Experience translating operational requirements into product features, system enhancements, workflow designs, and implementation plans.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, lead cross-functional initiatives, and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to interpret data, define performance metrics, and recommend improvements based on operational and financial outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Epic certification or proficiency in one or more revenue cycle modules, such as Hospital Billing, Professional Billing, Claims, Charge Router, HIM, Resolute, Cadence, Prelude, or related applications.
• Experience working in an Agile, product management, or product owner environment, including backlog management, roadmap planning, user story development, and sprint prioritization.
• Experience with large-scale Epic implementations, upgrades, optimization projects, or enterprise revenue cycle transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of payer requirements, healthcare compliance standards, denial management, reimbursement trends, and regulatory reporting considerations.
• Experience presenting recommendations, progress updates, and performance metrics to senior leadership or executive sponsors.

Hybrid work schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote) – first 90 days are on fully in office

Starting Salary: $150K (negotiable)

The position may require participation in implementation events, upgrade activities, issue resolution, or go-live support outside of standard business hours based on organizational needs.
