A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Referral Coordinator to join their team.
Referral Coordinator will handle patient referrals to ensure timely processing, accurate documentation, and continuity of care. Serves as a patient liaison by providing support, scheduling appointments, and addressing questions. Obtains insurance authorizations, communicates with providers and specialists, and tracks referral status to ensure reports are received and records remain up to date.
Pay Rate: $27.76/hr
Shift: Monday – Friday / 8:00AM – 5:00PM
Location: Los Angeles, CA (Watts)
Job Requirements for Referral Coordinator
• Minimum of two years of solid work experience as a Referral Specialist.
• Experience with referral processing, including use of the MedPoint Portal and/or eConsult systems
• Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with clinical operations and third-party payer requirements
• Proficiency in basic computer operations preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills, with a focus on patient care
• Medical Assistant diploma
• High school diploma or equivalent required
