Summary
The IT System Analyst is responsible for providing technical support and assistance to end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and applications. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, assisting with system setups, and resolving technical problems for users. The Systems Analyst should have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a customer-centric approach.
Technical Support:
- Provide first-line technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems and escalate complex issues when necessary.
- Assist end-users with system setup, software installation, and user account management.
- Provide remote support to off-site or remote users as needed.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity and VPN-related issues.
- Log and track support requests using the helpdesk system.
- Monitor and respond to service requests and incidents in a timely manner.
System Administration:
- Perform routine maintenance on hardware components, such as PCs, laptops, and printers.
- Install, configure, and update software applications.
- Assist in user account management, access control, and security permissions.
- Assist in the procurement of IT hardware and software, including researching and recommending solutions.
Documentation:
- Maintain detailed documentation of support requests, resolutions, and frequently encountered issues.
- Create and update user guides and knowledge base articles.
- Maintain IT warehouse with all inventories and ordering processes.
- Assist in research, application and recommendation of new technologies and products.
Security and Compliance:
- Assist in enforcing IT security policies and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Educate users on best practices for security and data protection.
Collaboration and Support:
- Collaborate with others to resolve information technology issues.
- Train users on how to use software and hardware effectively.
- Participate in on-call rotations to address system emergencies outside of regular working hours.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications (Education and Experience)
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required, 2-year degree in IT preferred.
- One year of experience operating, maintaining, upgrading, and configuring PC hardware, software and associated peripheral equipment.
Applicable IT related certifications and equivalent years of experience are acceptable.
