Job Description:
The Events Coordinator/Marketing job responsibilities include promoting the corporate image, coordinating and planning special events and activities to enhance the organization’s visibility and garner increased volunteer and community support.
The Events Coordinator is responsible for all tasks assigned and will learn on the job skills necessary for performing the task. Some of these tasks are listed below but are not all inclusive.
- Completes special projects and special assignments by establishing objectives, determining priorities, managing time, gaining cooperation of others, monitoring progress, problem solving, making adjustments to plan.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations.
- Plans, organizes, coordinates, promotes and facilitates special events either run by corporation or on behalf of corporation and affiliates.
- Maintains communications on special events with participants, employees and public.
- Coordinates and monitors event timelines, reviews and analyzes evaluations.
- Assists in preparing a variety of publications, materials and programs for events.
- Attends meetings and represents corporation and affiliates with service and professional groups.
- Acts as primary source for promotion of activities and special events.
- Coordinates/participates in all efforts to publicize and promote all activities, services and events.
- Liaison with volunteers, speakers, vendors, employees and event participants.
- Participation in charitable contribution campaigns.
- Assists with publications as needed to promote understanding and appreciation of corporation and affiliates, maintains and distributes current listings of upcoming events within and outside corporation and affiliates for distribution to employees, news media, local and state agencies, donors and community supporters.
- Coordinates with website administrator for review of and changes to website content to maintain current information on all corporate news and events.
- Maintain good working relations with all Directors, Managers, Staff, individuals and families served.
- Complete and submit all paperwork, receipts and any other documents in a timely manner.

MCA Employee Requirements:
