WATER SYSTEM COMPUTER OPERATOR
The Sanitary Engineer seeks a full-time Water System Computer Operator for the Water Division located at the main office, 791 W. Smith Road, Medina.
Responsibilities: Monitors the computer system that operates the Medina County water system. This system monitors the pump stations, level of the water storage tanks, chlorine levels, flow rates, power losses and phase losses and illegal entry to all sites. Also monitors sanitary sewer lift stations for failures or errors in performance. Checks for power failures and phase loss and notifies appropriate personnel for failure. Answers telephone calls and handles any emergencies, complaints and/or problems and dispatches appropriate personnel to handle the situation. Performs various clerical and technical tasks as needed. Ability to work any shift and work weekends and/or holidays. This is a 24 hour/day, 7 days/week operation.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Working knowledge of modern office practices, procedures and equipment. Proficient in Excel, Word and/or other comparable software.
SHIFT: 4:00P.M. – 12:00A.M. – TUESDAY - SATURDAY
Rate: Start at $17.50/hour
The successful candidate must pass a background check, drivers abstract and drug screen.
