Physical Therapist (DPT), Outpatient Orthopedics

Relocate to the Greenville area, South Carolina

Relocation supported I Full-time, permanent I On-site

Trade the grind for a place you'll actually want to stay

You didn't spend three years in DPT school to churn through 20-plus visits a day until you burn out. If you're a physical therapist who wants real time with patients, genuine clinical growth, and a life outside the clinic, this is worth a look, even if you're not in the Southeast yet. We're hiring on behalf of a privately held, therapist-owned outpatient group in the Greenville and Anderson area of Upstate South Carolina, one of the fastest-growing regions in the country. This is a confidential search, so we're keeping the name off the post, but we'll tell you everything once we connect.

Why therapists come here, and don't leave

  • Sustainable caseloads. Clinicians here see roughly 11 to 12 patients a day, not the 18 to 20 you'll find at the high-volume mills. That's a deliberate choice, and a big reason the culture holds.
  • Retention that speaks for itself. In the flagship market, the team has seen near-zero turnover over the past 18 months. Therapists put down roots here.
  • Clinical development, on the house. The group runs an APTA-accredited orthopedic residency and a manual therapy fellowship, offered to staff at no cost. You can pursue your OCS (Orthopedic Clinical Specialist) credential while you work, a career accelerator most employers make you pay for.
  • Therapist-owned and therapist-led. Decisions are made by clinicians who still treat, not a private-equity spreadsheet. Leadership is accessible, practical, and invested in your growth.
  • A growing organization with a real ladder. This is an expanding, multi-clinic group with a footprint across several states. Clinic-lead and management tracks are genuinely open as the group grows, not a someday promise.

Why the move actually makes sense

  • Your paycheck goes further. South Carolina's cost of living runs well below the national average, and both housing and day-to-day expenses come in far under what you'd pay in the Northeast or on the West Coast. The same salary simply stretches further here.
  • Direct-access state. South Carolina lets patients see a PT without a physician referral, which means steady volume and a clinic that values your clinical judgment.
  • The Greenville draw. Greenville is one of the most talked-about small cities in the country: a walkable, thriving downtown, a nationally recognized food scene, waterfalls and mountains 30 minutes one way, lakes the other. Anderson, just west, offers lower costs, great schools, and an easy commute.
  • Relocation support. Sign-on and relocation assistance are available, and the group has real experience helping clinicians, including those from out of state and internationally, land smoothly, down to interim housing while you settle.

What you'll do

  • Deliver one-on-one, evidence-based outpatient orthopedic care across a varied caseload
  • Perform thorough evaluations, build individualized plans of care, and progress patients toward real functional goals
  • Collaborate with a tight, supportive clinical team that shares cases and knowledge
  • Document accurately and participate in the group's quality and development programs
  • Optionally step into the residency or fellowship pathway to deepen your ortho and manual therapy skills

What we're looking for

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent PT degree
  • Licensed in South Carolina, license-eligible, or eligible via the PT Compact. If you're licensed in a Compact state, you may be able to start quickly, and we'll guide you through it
  • New graduates are welcome and supported; experienced clinicians and those with a manual therapy or ortho focus are especially encouraged
  • A genuine willingness to relocate to the Upstate SC area and put down roots
  • Strong communication, a team mindset, and a patient-first approach

Internationally trained physiotherapists, including those from Canada, who are open to relocation are encouraged to apply. We routinely support licensure and work-authorization pathways.

Compensation and benefits

Base salary $75,000 to $85,000 depending on experience, with a transparent productivity-based scale that rewards you as you ramp.

  • Performance bonus structure
  • Health benefits, 401(k), and paid time off
  • Free access to the APTA-accredited residency and manual therapy fellowship
  • Sign-on and relocation assistance
  • No-cost path to your OCS specialty credential
