What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ranch Hands position at Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament?
Medieval Times is looking for a RANCH HAND to assist us with caring for our 250 acre ranch and horse farm in Sanger, TX!
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists with upkeep of the property including fence maintenance, cutting trees, and mowing
- Assists with the feeding, cleaning, and overall well-being of the horses
- Assists with the grooming and exercising of the horses
- Performs additional duties, as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
- Ability to work outside for an extended period of time in all weather conditions
- Ability to use basic hand tools
- Ability to use or learn to use farm machinery and equipment
- Ability to work with and around horses
- Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods on uneven surfaces
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 to 2 years' experience working on a ranch
- 1 to 2 years' experience working around horses preferred
