Medical Collections Specialist

Waypoint Medical Solutions is a leading Medical Servicing Organization for chiropractors, interventional pain management, and orthopedic surgeons. We are seeking a skilled Medical Collections Specialist to join our revenue cycle team and ensure timely collection of outstanding patient balances and insurance claims.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and follow up on outstanding insurance claims and patient balances
• Work directly with insurance companies, patients, and internal teams to resolve billing issues
• Process appeals and denials, ensuring accurate and timely claim payments
• Maintain detailed records of collection efforts and communications
• Assist in setting up payment plans and negotiating settlements when necessary
• Stay uptodate on insurance policies, coding, and compliance regulations
  
  

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years of experience in medical collections, billing, or revenue cycle management
• Strong understanding of insurance verification, CPT/ICD10 coding, EOBs, and claim denials
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problemsolving skills
• Proficiency in EHR/EMR systems and billing software
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to track multiple claims and ensure timely followup
