Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, cherry pickers, reach trucks, and other heavy equipment to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, inspecting goods, and maintaining detailed logs
- Handle materials with care during heavy lifting tasks to prevent damage and ensure safety compliance
- Manage inventory movement within the warehouse management system (WMS), updating records for stock levels and locations
- Support warehouse supervision by adhering to OSHA safety standards, conducting safety checks, and reporting hazards promptly
- Collaborate with team members on construction-related tasks or projects requiring mechanical knowledge or heavy equipment operation
Skills
- Extensive experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, shipping & receiving, and materials handling
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, clamp trucks, crane equipment, pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery with proper certification
- Strong knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and best practices for warehouse safety
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues and perform routine maintenance checks
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and inventory control processes
- Prior experience in warehouse supervision or leadership roles is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Construction or heavy equipment operation background enhances versatility in handling diverse tasks
