Job Summary:
The Quality Technician position reports to the Quality Lead and assists in the inspection, verification and packaging of product and documenting the results in a timely and efficient manner.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs first piece inspection and final inspection for a wide
- Statistical process control charting of in-process and final inspections as required
- Component layouts, inspections, and associated documentation
- Set up, program, and operate testing equipment
- Troubleshooting and analysis of inspection and testing results
- Accurate reporting and recording of data and information.
- Perform optical and visual inspections in a timely manner to meet quality expectations, while adhering to delivery requirements
- Ensure compliance with the “control of non-conforming material” process
- Flexibility to work in a changing environment
- Understand inspection frequencies and sampling plans.
- Follow Medicoil workmanship and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Abides by all Medicoil policies and procedures as stated in the employee handbook
- Abides by all Medicoil safety standards and requirements
- Alerts the supervisor when nonconformance’s are found
- Learn and follow ISO 13485 standards and continuous improvements as it relates to this position.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be able to read and follow written work instructions
- Learn to use inspection tools and test equipment
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Basic measurement tool knowledge
- Preferred manufacturing experience
- Read and understand customer blueprints
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift to 20 pounds at times.
