The ideal candidate will have experience in a legal office and be proficient in various office systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee attorney requests from initial intake and scheduling through to the final delivery of the expert medical report.
- Gather, organize, and manage extensive medical records, legal correspondence, and intake forms.
- Manage incoming phone calls, directing them to the appropriate staff or department while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently using scheduling systems.
- Maintain patient records accurately in accordance with privacy regulations and office policies.
- Coordinate schedules for expert exams, ensuring all deadlines, legal timelines, and statutory requirements are met.
- Assist with clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience as a legal secretary (specifically within workers' comp or personal injury fields).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Proficient in clerical duties and comfortable using various office systems and technology.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
