Customer Service & Cashiering
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, professional service
- Process prescriptions and retail transactions accurately using the POS system
- Handle cash, credit, and insurance copays with accuracy
- Answer phones and direct calls appropriately
- Assist customers with over-the-counter product selection and general inquiries
Pharmacy Technician Duties
- Assist pharmacists with prescription processing and workflow
- Enter prescription data accurately into the pharmacy system
- Prepare, label, and package prescriptions under pharmacist supervision
- Manage prescription pick-up and verify customer information
- Handle insurance claims, rejections, and prior authorizations as trained
- Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Inventory & Store Support
- Receive, stock, and organize prescription and OTC inventory
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and returns
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy workspace
- Assist with filing, record-keeping, and other administrative tasks
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Pharmacy Technician certification and/or state registration preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Previous pharmacy, healthcare, or retail experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment
- Basic computer skills; pharmacy software experience a plus
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (e.g., inventory boxes)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $9.00 - $13.50 per hour
