AmeriCorp VISTA Homeownership Accelerator

Medici Road
Washington, DC Full Time
POSTED ON 7/17/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 9/16/2026

Medici Road is looking for an AmeriCorps VISTA member dedicated to building a homeownership accelerator for income-eligible Ward 7 and Ward 8 residents in Washington, DC. This program, My Keys. Rent No More. Homeownership Accelerator, is a three-tier program designed to move income-eligible DC residents (30–80% AMI) from financial readiness education through to homeownership closing with down payment assistance

You'll support the team in designing the program's foundation—starting with mapping the local homeownership ecosystem and helping establish the partnerships the program depends on.

From there, you'll design a Tier 1 homeownership readiness curriculum covering credit building, savings, DC assistance programs, and the mortgage process, and build a participant data tracking system to monitor outcomes across the pipeline. You'll close out your term by coordinating and co-facilitating the program's first cohort of 25–30 participants, evaluating their outcomes, and documenting everything in a program operations manual so Medici Road can run and grow the accelerator on its own.

This is a capacity-building role at heart: you're not just running a program; you're building the infrastructure- partnerships, curriculum, data systems, and documentation—that lets Medici Road sustain it long after your term ends.

•   Strong written communication skills for producing curriculum materials, reports, and partner-facing documents

•   Comfort working with data tools (Airtable, Excel, or similar) to track and report on outcomes

•   Ability to build trust and work collaboratively with residents, nonprofit partners, and lenders alike
