Physician Liaison — Medici Orthopaedics & Spine Metro Atlanta (Kennesaw & Snellville) | Full-Time | Field-Based

Medici Orthopaedics & Spine is a physician-led interventional pain management and spine practice serving Metro Atlanta. Founded by Dr. Sonny Dosanjh, a fellowship-trained physiatrist from Emory University, we offer comprehensive care under one roof — from diagnostic evaluation and physical therapy through interventional procedures, spinal cord stimulation, spine surgery, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

We're hiring a Physician Liaison to develop and expand our referral base by building strategic relationships with personal injury attorneys, primary care physicians, urgent care clinics, and other referring providers across Metro Atlanta.

This is not a brochure-dropping role. We're looking for someone who builds deep, strategic relationships with referring partners — backed by data, CRM discipline, and a genuine understanding of what attorneys and physicians need from a referral partner.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and expand the referral base to grow clinic business across Medici's Kennesaw and Snellville markets in close partnership with practice leadership
  • Manage a tiered portfolio of referring partners — PI attorneys, physicians, urgent care clinics, and chiropractic offices — with structured meeting cadences based on relationship value
  • Conduct 20–30 strategic meetings per month. Show up prepared with referral data, patient outcome updates, and a clear agenda — not just marketing materials
  • Source and develop new referral partners — identify PI firms, physician groups, and urgent care networks that are not yet referring to Medici, and build those relationships from first contact to consistent referral volume
  • Deliver polished presentations to attorneys, physician groups, and office staff on Medici's clinical capabilities, referral process, and the value of partnership — you'll be presenting to decision-makers and need to command the room
  • Educate new and existing referral contacts on Medici's full service capabilities and position our practice as the preferred referral destination for complex pain and spine cases
  • Continuously review, analyze, and report on referral performance data, market trends, and competitive positioning to inform outreach strategy
  • Monitor the referral pipeline in the CRM — track every referral from received to scheduled to seen, flag stalls, and close the loop with referring offices
  • Coordinate with our PI & Workers' Comp Liaison to ensure referred patients are scheduled promptly and referring partners stay informed
  • Identify and coordinate speaking opportunities, community events, and networking initiatives to increase Medici's visibility within the referral community
  • Oversee efforts to ensure Medici is positioned competitively to protect and grow market share, including routine analysis of competitor strengths and services
  • Contribute to weekly reporting on referral volume, conversion rates, partner engagement, and territory performance

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2 years of experience in healthcare business development, physician liaison, medical sales, pharmaceutical sales, or a related field-based relationship role
  • Proven and verifiable track record of success in physician or healthcare referral development
  • Strong presentation skills at the executive level — you're confident presenting to attorneys, physicians, and practice leadership, not just dropping off materials with a front desk
  • Strong understanding of healthcare referral dynamics — you know how physician offices and PI attorneys make referral decisions
  • Proficient in the use of HubSpot, Salesforce, or other CRM platforms — you've managed a pipeline and you understand why data discipline matters
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, public speaking, and organizational skills
  • Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to independently interface with internal physicians and external referral partners to discuss market strategy and service capabilities
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel across Metro Atlanta daily within assigned market

Preferred:

  • Experience in pain management, orthopedics, spine, or physical medicine & rehabilitation settings
  • Familiarity with the personal injury medical referral ecosystem in Georgia
  • Established book of business or existing referral relationships in the Metro Atlanta market
  • Experience working with athenahealth or similar healthcare EHR/practice management systems
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance basics (Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law) as they relate to referral relationships
  • Proficient in medical terminology

Compensation:

Competitive base salary depending on experience, plus performance bonus up to $15,000 – $40,000 annually tied to referral conversion, partner retention, and growth metrics. Mileage reimbursement and health benefits included.

Why Medici:

We're investing in the growth infrastructure to match our clinical reputation — CRM systems, referral analytics, structured outreach programs, and the right people to run them. You won't inherit a broken process. You'll build the new one alongside a leadership team that's committed to doing this right.

If you're someone who thinks in terms of relationships and outcomes — not just activity — we'd like to hear from you.

Send your resume and if you're keen to stand out (a short video on why you think you're the perfect fit to alex@salesout.ai). Please include any relevant metrics from your current or previous role — we're a data-driven team and we value candidates who can speak to their results.
