Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician (FTM) to support the daily operations of Class A commercial office buildings. FTM will be responsible for daily and on-going maintenance and repair work on building systems throughout the buildings. This person will be responsible for providing responsive, high-quality service to tenants and management.
Responsibilities
· Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and general building systems
· Perform general building repairs including drywall, painting, door hardware, and ceiling systems
· Respond promptly to tenant maintenance requests and facility-related emergencies
· Maintain accurate records of work orders and completed repairs using computer-based systems
· Notify management when maintenance supplies require replenishment
· Escort vendors, contractors, and inspectors, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building protocols
· Follow OSHA guidelines and applicable safety regulations at all times
Qualifications
· 3 years of commercial facilities maintenance experience preferred
· Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general construction
· Proficiency with hand and power tools
· Basic computer skills and ability to communicate professionally via email
· Strong problem-solving skills and professional tenant interaction
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in mechanical rooms, on rooftops, and in elevated areas
· Familiarity with Daikin HVAC systems, nitrogen dry sprinkler systems and Lutron Quantum Vue lighting controls is preferred but not required
